Emma

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) as well as Chris Watson (born in Paris). When she moved to Oxfordshire when she was five, she enrolled in The Dragon School. Emma decided to become an actor by the age of six. In the past she was in the Oxford branch Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. In the school, she was taught singing along with dancing, as well as acting. Before the age of ten she had appeared and played part in a variety of Stagecoach productions as well as school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone was the film of 2001 adaptation from J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was announced in 1999. Emma was discovered by agents through their Oxford teacher. After a string of auditions for eight consecutive times, producer David Heyman told Emma and other applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been cast to play three of the leads Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's first cinematic appearance was alongside Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. It broke all records in opening-day sales and opening-weekend takings and also was the highest-grossing production in the year 2001. Film critics praised the film as well as its performances by the three top young actors. The Daily Telegraph, an important British publication, described Emma's portrayal "amazing". Emma's performance received nominations and earned her five awards afterward for the film.
